‘Sketching in the Dandenongs’

Between 1855 - 1858 a group of friends, Alfred Howitt, Eugene von Guerard & Nicholas Chevalier, explored & sketched the Dandenongs. Their various adventures both separately & together provide our first visual record of what was to become a favorite destination  for outings & holidays in the Dandenong Ranges.​
